The four ski areas (Grosseck-Speireck, Fanningberg, Aineck-Katschberg and Obertauern) have an extensive network of more than 250 km of slopes and that makes Lungau a true winter sport paradise. Mauterndorf is located at the foot of the Mount Grosseck Speiereck that has a height of 2411 meters and 50 km of slopes. Need more challenge? In Obertaurn or Katschberg you can find another 200 km of exciting slopes. Haus Wendy is an ideal base for winter sport including (off-piste) skiing, snowboarding, snow kiting, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and torchlight processions.

The height between 1000 meters and 2450 meters combined with the very favourable location of the area ensures a high snow guarantee from mid November to mid April. This winter sport area belongs to one of the best ski regions in Europe, for both beginners and experienced downhill skiers. With plenty of options and variety to find and free bus connections, everything is quick and easy to reach. The ski bus that stops right outside Haus Wendy, takes you within five minutes to the Grosseck-Speireck or within fifteen minutes to one of the other areas.
